There are different experiences available! These walking tours are guided by a local expert who will provide valuable insight into the the history, culture, folklore, fun facts, restaurant scene & things to do. These are walking tours so comfortable attire for all types of weather are necessary. Some include alcoholic beverages, while others provide the option to purchase drinks separately. Relocation tours are informative walking tours and ideal for those considering relocating to the area & those that want to learn more about their new city! There are also morning meditation walking tours that encompass exercise, meditation, grounding, mindset and a healthy treat! There are private group tours available for corporate retreats & holiday celebrations! There are bachelorette party options!

Is there a food specific to the geographic area?

No. Unlike other geographical areas which are well-known for a specific soup dish, or dessert (e.g. Lobster rolls in Maine, New England clam chowder, shrimp & grits/she-crab soup/Lowcountry boil (Charleston, SC), Creole/Cajun/crawfish in New Orleans, LA, etc), Sarasota is best known for it's variety of international cuisines. The food tours will provide guests with a sample of the eclectic cuisine offered in the area. The restaurant partners in our other cities offer a nice variety, too!

Food Sensitivities

Yes, our restaurant partners can accommodate food allergies, sensitivities, and dietary concerns within reason. Please understand that the food offered is pre-arranged so custom plates cannot be created on tours, though. 

​Please let us know of any food allergies upon booking.

Walking/Fitness Level

​

It is the responsibility of each guest to determine if you are physically able to tour. It is a WALKING tour. We trvel over varied terrain: uneven sidewalks, slippery surfaces, busy streets with motorized vehicles. We have had guets on motorized scooters and walkers enjoy our tours. We walk on public roads & streets, not owned or manager by the tour company. Please understand that we are on a schedule with restaurant reservations so out of courtesy for all tour guests, if you are recovering from surgery or other health concerns that limits your ability to walk at the same pace of the group, please reschedule your tour.

Cost/Gratuity

​

The ticket price varies by experience and length of tour. Ticket price includes food, tax, gratuity (& sometimes alcohol drinks) at the restaurant stops. Walking & culinary tours are very popular experiences in the world and tipping/gratuity varies by country. In the United States, it is customary to tip the tour guide 15%-20% of the ticket price per guest. This is the guide's primary income source for the time invested in leading the experience and sharing their knowledge. It is customary practice to tip a tour guide at the conclusion since it is a tourism/hospitality gig. Tour guides are typically not employees of the tour company they represent. Gratuity of 20% is  added to private tours, corporate groups and bachelorette parties. Tips can be paid directly to guide via cash, Zelle, Venmo, or paid upfront at the time of booking.

Transportation

​

We do not offer transportation with our tours.  There are several affordable parking options & public garages in our tour areas. We ask that you arrange for safe & sober transportation if you plan on drinking alcoholic beverages  If your corporate group is staying downtown, the guide can typically meet you in the lobby of your hotel/resort. We can also recommend transportation options. Please see our area information page.

​No Smoking Policy

​

Our tours are strictly non-smoking. No cigarettes, no cigars, no vaping/e-cigarettes. This is for the health and safety for all guests & guides. We want to be respectful of people with allergies, respiratory conditions, and other health conditions.

Cancellation Policy

​

We understand that plans change and are empathetic to unforeseen circumstances. However, planning a tour requires advanced reservations with our local restaurant partners. Some charge for cancellations, and late shows. Cancellations prior to 24 hours notice can be rescheduled or a gift card issued. Cancellations within 24-hours prior to the tour start time will not be refunded.

We reserve the right to reschedule (or issue a refund) if we initiate a tour cancellation due to extreme weather conditions or a tour not meeting the minimum number of guests. These are group tour experiences that require  a total minimum of 4 guests. We welcome bookings of one to three guests but please understand that no other guests book on your selected tour experience, you will be contacted to transfer your booking to another available date. We appreciate your understanding.
