Sunset Food Tours was established in 2020 by Levi Kay, borne out of his global travels with his wife. They experienced different cultures through guided tours that included history & food. He created that same experience in Sarasota, which is a small town offering authentic global cuisine representative of many cultures and countries.

Christine joined Sunset Food Tours in 2023 as a local expert/lead guide and became sole proprietor in early 2025. Sunset Food Tours maintains the 5-star reputation that Levi created & has quickly expanded. Sunset Food Tours now offers several types of guided tours, self-guided tours, and scavenger hunts.

My Perspective
Sarasota. An enchanting lifestyle! I've lived in Florida for over three decades, in various areas. Upon my first visit to Sarasota in 2020, an immediate peace came over me and I knew that I had to relocate across the state to be here. It was as if my soul had been waiting for me here. I invested 2 years of monthly visits, essentially straddling the life I was leaving in NE Florida and immersing myself with the Sarasota lifestyle. I invested into learning everything possible and created friendships before I officially became a fulltime resident. I was on a quest to share this gem of a city. I wrote a nationally-award winning article about it, and discovered Sunset Food Tours. This place has a unique spiritual connection for many, who say that they feel immediately at peace upon arriving. According to local legend, the natives were told by their Spirit Guides that this was a sacred place. They settled it and then placed a blessing on the land.
